The Torah and The Holy Bible
Torah: The Torah talks about the life of Moses. In Genesis we learn about how the world got stated, Adam and Eve, Noah, Abraham and Sarah, Issac and Rebekah, Jacob and Rachel and Lea, and Josef. In Exodus, Moses is born and brings the Jews out of Egypt. Through Leviticus and Numbers, Moses leads the Jews to the promises land. In Deuteronomy, the Jews finally make it to Palestine, Moses died before the Jews entered the gate to what is now Israel.
First lines for Genesis of the Torah: "When God began to create heaven and earth-the earth being unformed and void, with darkness over the surface of the deep and a wind from God sweeping over the water-God said, 'Let there be light'; and there was light."

The Holy Bible: The Holy Bible includes the Torah and the Haft Torah(companion to the Torah), and the new testament, the teachings of Jesus. So like the Torah it starts in a similar way.
First lines of Genesis in The Holy Bible: "In the beginning, when God created the universe, the earth was formless and desolate. The raging ocean covered everything was engulfed in total darkness, and the power of God was moving over the water. Then God commanded,'Let there be light'-and the light appeared."

The Similarities Between Judaism and Christianity
Judaism is the parent religion of Christianity, and in many places it shows. As I talked about how the Old Testament and the Torah are one in the same but their are a lot more things in common. Both religions are Monopolistic, which means they only have one God. They are two of the three main Abrahamic religions, which means that they both stem from the first Jew, Abraham.
Signs and Symbols of Christianity
Angels are messages to God. They symbolize God's messages to earth.
The apple represents sin, like in the the Adam and Eve story. When Christ is holding an apple the meaning of the symbol changes. Christ isn't sinful, but a "second Adam."
Represents the three unified members, The Son, The Father and The Holy Ghost.
The cross us the remembrance of Jesus's Death.
According to the Christians, Jesus is the " Lamb of God."
The Phoenix was a symbol adopted by Christians as remembrance of the resurrection of Christ.
Beliefs in Christianity
God: God is the creator of the world. There is only one God. In the New Testament, God's love and compassion for people on Earth is truly emphasized. In the New Testament, God is referred to using mostly masculine language. The Christian God has, a personality, something that God stands for, and how God is like.
Jesus: Christians believe that Jesus was/is the Messiah, the Savoir. Jews believe that the Messiah hasn't come, so Christians and Jews disagree on who Jesus was/is. Although Jesus is portrayed as a Godly figure, he is referred to in the New Testament, by the Christians, as a "son of man."
Mary: Mary is the mother of Jesus. It is stayed in Luke, that Mary was from the tribe of Judah (one of the thirteen tribes of Israel, and is a descendant of King David. This is important to note for, the Jewish Messiah was to be of lineage from David, and the Christian Messiah, according to Luke, is.
Trinity: The father (God), the son (Jesus), and the Holy Spirit are all different versions of God, They are all connected yet are all separate.
The Devil: The Devil is mentioned a lot in both the New and Old testaments. To Jew's and Christians the imagery of the very thing that causes you to go off path. For example, in the Adam and Eve story, the Serpent is the Devil.
The Four Crusades
The Crusades, were a series of wars that the Christians fought to conquer Jeruselum , the holy land, in which they killed everyone who was in their way, and when I mean everyone, I really mean everyone. In the First Crusade and the action first starting it , lasted from 1071-July 1099. Through the coarse of these 27 years, at least a million men die, and lost of land lost and conquered. In 1071, when the Turks took over Palestine, took over Jerusalem, and killed 3000 Christians and destroyed their churches, the Christians became distraught. After 10 years of his sacred land being under Turkish rule, Emperor Alexius I, emperor of the Byzantine Empire, an ancient Roman empire in what is now Turkey contacted the Pope. In two separate groups, an armed Crusade, and a "People's Crusade" made their way to Jerusalem, the Holy land.
Just 45 years later, the Second Crusade started. It starts with the Muslims re-taking Edessa, a town that's now in Turkey, that was taken by the Crusaders in 1098. The Second Crusade was started to take back land like Edessa that had been obtained by the Muslims in the years following the First Crusade. It ends up at the end of the Second Crusade, the Christians only captured a few Greek Islands in the coarse of the four or five years of the Second Crusade. For such a little reward, lots of men on all sides were killed.
In 1182, the third crusade started. This was yet another attempt at capturing Palestine. This time it was from Saladin, the first sultan of Egypt and Syria, who had control of this land. The crusade was a great success, the crusaders ended up capturing Acre and Jaffa, two port cities in modern-day Israel, but sadly for the Christians, Jerusalem wasn't captured in the span of the three years of the Crusade.
Stating in 1202 the Christians started their fourth crusade, this time, however, they had a plan to conquer the holy land by advancing from Egypt. In April 1204, however, it was discovered that the crusaders had invaded the Christian town of Constantinople, the capital of the Byzantine Empire.

Jews in the Diaspora
How did the Jews survive as a culture outside of Israel?
Jews were able to survive in the diaspora by staying in little groups of Jews through out the world. So although these Jews weren't in Israel they were with their own culture learning about their own religion, so in tiny little Israels, Jews survive in these new environments.
Christians and the Holocaust
The Christians effected the course of the holocaust in a lot of ways. Before the holocaust it was mostly just anti-sedimic acts , like breaking windows of Jewish homes and businesses, or beating Jews in the streets. This isn't directly related to them being Christians, it's just related to the Jews being different from them. Throughout the holocaust, however, Christians hid Jews from the Natzizes, who were making life very hard for the Jews, including killing the in mass gassings.
Christians outside of Southwest Asia
Christians probably moved to spread their faith and make people all around the word convert to their religion.
The Jews left after the death of Jesus, because they had to run from the Christians and the Romans who now populated the land.
